HARRISON TOWNSHIP ASSESSOR
About Chris Schlup

PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATION
Chris Schlup is a Level 3 Certified Assessor-Appraiser with professional experience inside the property assessment system. He understands how property values are determined, how market data is applied, and how critical accuracy is in maintaining fairness for taxpayers. Certification matters in this role because it ensures the assessor understands both the technical standards and the legal responsibilities of the office.
EXPERIENCE & UNDERSTANDING
Chris is not running to be a politician; he is running because he cares about doing the job the right way. He understands the day-to-day responsibilities of an assessor’s office and how assessments impact homeowners, businesses, and working families across Harrison Township. When values are fair and consistent, the system works better for everyone.
COMMITMENT TO RESIDENTS
If elected, Chris will focus on fair and accurate assessments, cross-trained staff to improve service, and open communication with residents. Questions deserve clear answers. Concerns deserve respectful review. The Assessor’s office should be accessible, transparent, and professionally managed every day.
WHY I’M RUNNING
Certified. Fair. Accurate.
I am running for Harrison Township Assessor because this office plays an important role in the lives of local families and property owners. Property assessments impact financial planning, homeownership, and business stability. They should be handled with accuracy, consistency, and clear communication.

As a Level 3 Certified Assessor-Appraiser, I understand the technical standards that guide property valuation. But just as important, I understand the responsibility to serve residents respectfully and transparently. The assessment process should never feel confusing or inaccessible.

Harrison Township deserves an Assessor’s office that operates with professionalism, steady leadership, and open communication. My focus is simple: apply the standards correctly, treat residents fairly, and ensure assessments are clearly explained.

Local public service matters because it affects neighbors directly. This office should reflect the values of our community fairness, accountability, and respect.
